Terms of Service

Last updated May 23, 2026

These Terms describe the rules for using Voltive — our website, apps, and APIs (the "Service"). By creating an account, watching streams, or going live, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who can use Voltive

You must be at least 13 years old to use Voltive, and at least 18 to broadcast mature content. If your local age of digital consent is higher, that age applies to you. By using Voltive you represent that you meet these requirements and that you can lawfully agree to these Terms.

Accounts are personal. Don't share your password or stream key. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.

2. Your account

Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. We may require email verification before certain features are unlocked. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings; we may keep some information for the reasons described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law. We'll usually tell you why, except in urgent safety situations.

3. Your content and license to us

You keep ownership of the streams, videos, chat messages, channel artwork, and other content you upload or broadcast ("Your Content"). You alone are responsible for it.

To run the Service, you grant Voltive a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, transcode, cache, display, perform, and distribute Your Content for the limited purpose of operating, securing, and improving the Service. This license ends when you remove the content or close your account, except for copies retained for legal, security, or backup reasons.

You confirm you have all the rights you need to grant this license — including rights to any music, footage, art, or third-party material in your stream — and that Your Content does not infringe anyone else's rights.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to do any of the following on Voltive:

  • Post, stream, or share content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or sexually exploitative.
  • Threaten, dox, or coordinate harm against any person.
  • Stream content involving minors that is sexual, suggestive, or otherwise unsafe.
  • Distribute malware, run scams, phish credentials, or commit fraud.
  • Sell, trade, or boost views, follows, chat activity, or report counts.
  • Re-broadcast content you don't have permission to share, including pirated streams.
  • Impersonate other people or organizations in a way meant to mislead.
  • Try to break our security, scrape at a scale that hurts the Service, or abuse our APIs.
  • Evade bans, suspensions, or removals — including by creating new accounts.

Severe or repeated violations can result in stream removals, channel bans, account suspension, loss of features, and in some cases reports to law enforcement.

5. Moderation and reports

Anyone can report a stream, channel, user, or chat message they think breaks the rules. Our trust & safety team reviews reports and may dismiss, warn, remove content, ban a channel, or suspend an account. Decisions are recorded in our internal audit log.

Channel owners and their moderators can also delete chat messages, time users out, and ban viewers from their own chat. Channel-level actions only affect that channel.

7. Third-party services and integrations

Voltive may link to or work alongside third-party tools — for example OBS, payment providers, or media servers. We don't control those services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms and privacy notices.

8. Changes to the Service

We are constantly building Voltive. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may need to take parts of the Service offline temporarily for maintenance or for safety reasons. We'll do our best to give you a heads-up when changes meaningfully affect you.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Voltive is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that it will meet your expectations.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Voltive and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Voltive against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that arise out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Voltive at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, harm others on the platform, or expose Voltive to legal risk. Sections of these Terms that should reasonably survive termination — including the license you granted us, disclaimers, limits on liability, and dispute resolution — will remain in effect.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Voltive is based, without regard to its conflicts-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local consumer law gives you a different right that can't be waived.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know — for example by email, a notice on the site, or an in-app message. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always shows when this version took effect. Continuing to use Voltive after the new Terms take effect means you accept them.
